Daddy Meet Baby
I have been feeling the baby move for over a month now and it's so exciting to feel her move around inside me. (Ok, sometimes if I think about it too much, it's kinda weird, but definitely in the coolest way possible!) Poor Brian has had to listen to my running commentary about what the baby is doing without getting to feel it himself because she just wasn't big enough to make her movements felt by someone on the outside...until a couple of nights ago. She was having a grand time jumping around and doing a dance and I put my hand on my stomach to see if I could feel her on the outside and I did! So, I turned to Brian and said, "Here, put your hand on my stomach." He did, and you know what she did!?! She stopped moving. After a few minutes he pulled his hand away and less than 30 seconds after he did that, she started her dance again. I turned to Brian and said, "Quick! Put your hand on my stomach." Once again, he did, but she stopped dancing almost the moment he touched me. Grrr. Again he pulled his hand back and she started up her dance and I grabbed Brian's hand and put it on my stomach and you know what!?! He felt her move!!! It has been amazing getting to know her a little bit by how she moves inside me, but it's even better now that Brian can connect to her too. Though I realize I'm harboring a certified tease, I can't wait to meet her in person!

it is so fun to feel the baby move! Morgan did that also, she was stubborn and didn't want daddy to feel her move! Its so fun!
the same thing happens with brady! i just tell him that he's got the touch... :) don't worry, as you get closer to d-day, he'll be able to feel all sorts of things... elbows & knees dragged across your belly, jumping jacks, kickboxing. but that is so awesome that he can feel it now! dads & babies are the cutest thing! :)

Dean is never as interested in every little fetus kick and roll the baby makes as I am, and usually pulls his hand away too soon to catch the really good ones. I'm endlessly fascinated. And I also agree that carrying a living being inside you is bizarre, though also wonderful. Having had five now hasn't made it seem any less strange to me. I don't know how people make sense of the whole experience without The Plan of Happiness to explain it.
How fun that you're having a girl! And 55 days is not long at all (at least when you're not the one living it.)

okay...so today, while at the infinitely nicer Orem Dr.'s office I got to thinking about how yesterday when I posted your baby count down said 55 days left. I realized that was totally imposible. So then when I got home I looked at the date on my computer. May 29th....SO I guess on May 29th you'll only have 55 days to go!
That is the cutest thing ever. Chris felt her move 2 weeks ago and it freaked him out because he wasn't expecting it to be so powerful. Now she moves around all the time and it is so much fun. We need to hang out again soon so I can see your belly.
That's so fun that he finally felt her move! Yay! You're both gonna be awesome parents.
